Apologise for the lack of communication over the last six months but I am all settled into my new place now.
I have been to a county meeting and received some information about some forth coming events.
I have some information about Santa @ Paultons Park. Apologise come from county in the late advertising of the event. I know some colonies in the district have gone in past years and had a lovely day. Please use CALLSAM to book places.
Also, on 16th October, a Swap Shop Day is being held at Copythorne Scout HQ. This event is for all leaders who wish to learn some new craft ideas. It is from 10 am till 1pm with a charge of £3 to cover the cost of the hall. Please contact Teresa Ginn.
Whilst at the county meeting we talked about running a county event for all Beavers to celebrate 20 years of Beavers. It is still in the early stages of planning but we are hoping to have a sports afternoon & campfire. This will be held at Ferny Crofts and a provisional date is 15th July 2006. As soon as I have any more details I will contact you all. As it is a special celebration it will be lovely if all beavers in the district could attend. I will be looking into organising coaches for the district to travel together to this event.
There is a Birthday Badge being produced to celebrate the 20years of Beaver Scouts. As yet I am unsure who this will be available from but as soon as I have confirmation I will let you know. This badge can be worn for the whole of 2006.
I have also been informed that the District Christingle service will be held 14th December at All Saints Church. Please put this date in your diaries and I will confirm times etc near the date.
If anyone has had any ideas how the Beavers within the district would like to celebrate their 20th Birthday then pleas contact me.
