After months of searching, we are delighted to announce the appointment of a new District Chairman for Eastleigh District Scout Council, Mr Jim Vaughan, MBE, has accepted the DC’s invitation to take the post with effect from the AGM held on 12th May 2009.
Jim brings with him a wealth of experience and knowledge as Chair to both Eastleigh Youth Trust and Marching Youth Music and is rekindling his association with Eastleigh District Scouts after an absence of nearly 20 years – he was a leader and supporter with the 14th Scout Group before turning his attentions to other pursuits.
We am sure you will want to wish Jim every success and support him in his new role as we move forward in our Centenary year of the District. We are sure he will ensure that our District continues to move forward with determination and vigour.
