New ADC (Scouts)

Dear leaders,

Some of you will know Brian O’Neill gave me 6 months notice of his resignation of his position as ADC Scouts, finishing at the end of December 2009 and taking up a position at the 4th Eastleigh Scout Group, however Brian has felt that he would like to leave earlier and has now left the District team with immediate effect.

I would like to express my thanks to Brian for all his efforts in the District team, the Scout section and especially for the organisation of the District Camp when so many came together for a weekend of Scouting and celebration of our District’s 100 years.

Brain will be a hard act to follow but a challenge that I hope is worth taking up, therefore I am pleased to announce that Vicky Painter from the 13th Scout Troop has agreed to take up the post as ADC Scouts from today. Vicky will remain as Scout section leader at the 13th.

Vicky brings with her a new enthusiasm and our first ADC from the Sea Scout section, I know Vicky is keen to contact the Scout section leaders to get to know them and their troop members better to ensure Scouting remains vibrant and relevant in today’s environment.

I am sure that you will join with me in wishing her every success and support her in the new role,

Yours in Scouting

David
